Boulder Falls Colorado Black and White
Boulder Falls is located 11 miles west of Boulder, on the north side of Boulder Canyon Drive (SR 119) between Boulder and Nederland. It consists of five acres of mining claims that were given to the City of Boulder by Charles G. Buckingham, president and co-founder of Buckingham Brothers Bank (now Norwest Bank). Buckingham had held a U.S. Patent since 1881 on the American Mill site that included the Falls. He donated it to the City of Boulder for recreational purposes in 1914, hence “saving this beautiful spot from the encroachment of the great tungsten boom.”For many years the Boulder Falls (sometimes referred to as the “Yosemite of Boulder Canyon”), was the popular destination for picnic groups. Carryalls brought visitors up for a visit to the Falls, especially after the narrow gauge railroad washed out in the great flood of 1894. When the railroad was rebuilt four years later, stage and tourist travel was diverted and the popularity of Boulder Falls declined. Source: Boulder Colorado Gov. Our Love for Country – Our Love For Boston
Our Love for Boston – Our faith in each other, our love for each other, our love for country, our common creed that cuts across whatever superficial differences there may be, that is our power. That’s our strength. That’s why a bomb can’t beat us. That’s why we don’t hunker down. That’s why we don’t cower in fear. President Obama April, 18th 2013

Happy Easter! – Heavens Gate
Happy Easter! This shot was taken in the high elevation near Vail, Colorado. It was a stormy night, and at the blink of an eye, Lightning bolts strike what looks like opening the gates to heaven… and then seconds later… it’s gone. This was one 30 second exposure image and one lightning strike forming the gates, four cloud to ground and one cloud to cloud. The rest is my Lightning fantasy composite, black and white selective color on this version. Panorama fine art lightning fantasy composite photography photograph print, maybe a little over the top but fun to do. Hope you like.
