Last weekend we did a little camping up in the Colorado high country of the rocky mountains where the night sky lights up with the milky way and galaxy above. There was a small pond next to us and lots of wildlife to see. Summertime at it’s best! Of course up here they say they have two seasons… winter…. and the fourth of July!
This was a fun night of shooting and creating fine art photography at one of my favorite hideaway places on the planet. All I am going to say is it is above Boulder at about 8500 feet.
The temperatures were in the high 90’s below and 85 up here. It dropped to down 49 when I was shooting these at about 3:00 am. The things we do to get the shots.

Fantastic As Durable Water Resistant Lightweight Aluminum Metal Fine Art Prints
The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4″ thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall.
All metal prints ship within 3 – 4 business days and arrive “ready to hang” with mounting hooks and nails.
Metal prints are extremely durable. They’re lightweight. They won’t bend, and they’re water resistant.
The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of this artwork to produce stunning results.

A day in the life of a lightning catcher professional photographer Bo Insogna – http://ift.tt/1diDE0r – 06.27.2016. Music by MK2. Check out this time lapse of storms coming in from the NW over the Colorado Rocky Mountains heading east with a camera view to the west and camera view to the eastern plains. Beams of sunshine coming down, then watch the sun fall out of the sky, finishing up with some lightning strikes. I would have gotten more lightning images but ended up with a dead battery… stuck in the middle of nowhere and had to be rescued by my son. It’s all good.
