Milky Way Night To Day
A scenic colorful early morning Milky Way in the sky, a from the high elevation of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It was about an hour before the sun came up. What a great place to see the stars and watch the sunrise. Another beautiful day in Colorado! This image was shot with my Canon 6D the other with my Canon 7D.

A very large 16 image panorama view at sunrise of snow covered Rocky Mountains Continental Divide Peaks towering above Beaver Meadows in Colorado’s Famous Rocky Mountains National Park. Supermoon Over Colorado Rocky Mountains Indian Peaks BW
Sunday the 10th of August was the day of the supermoon. It rose at 7:53 pm to a cloudy horizon so there was not a good rising view from Boulder County, or at least from where I was located in North Boulder County. This is the next morning, Monday 8-11-14 as it sets at 7:17 am behind the Colorado Rocky Mountains Indian Peaks.
A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. Monochrome version.
