I love this time of year when I can take a deep breath and go back into the archives and find some hidden jewels.  This is one of three new prints from the Lightning Man archives.  This is what put the “Striking” in Striking Photography for me.

All acrylic prints ship within 3 – 4 business days and arrive “ready to hang” with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) – Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts. The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall. When you’re finished, simply reattached each cap, and you’re done. The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1″. Option #2 (Hanging Wire) – With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4″ thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. There are no metal mounting posts at the corners. Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you’re done. Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50″ Click here for mounting details.

Sonoran Monsoon Lightning Thunderstorm Delight Art Print

 

It is always a delights when the rainy season comes to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona.  This is a scenic nature landscape view of the lush desert with giant saguaro cactus and lightning striking the desert floor in North Phoenix / North Scottsdale.

Arizona Sun

Here is another from our trip to Arizona for the Thanksgiving holiday.   I was able to get up in the early morning hours before everyone got up to get this and be back for a full day.   It was clear blue skies the whole time we were there so the sky was not spectacular and this is one I came up with.  Shooting right into the sun with high f stop makes for a star effect. A scenic landscape view of the Arizona Sonoran desert as the blazing sun rises over the mountains.

Just Another Sonoran Desert Sunrise

Every year we do a road trip from Colorado to Scottsdale Arizona for Thanksgiving. We go to my moms who is getting up there in age and the week is all about spending as much time with her her as possible.   We get on her schedule, so getting up before everyone is up to chase a sunrise worked well with “the the early to rise early to bed” way of life.

It was a family vacations so I only got out a couple times to get some images. Here is just another beautiful Sonoran desert sunrise with giant saguaro cactus in north Phoenix / Scottsdale Arizona.

Last one from my trip to Arizona.  Landscape scenic view of giant saguaro cactus and a beautiful colorful sunset sky on the Arizona Sonoran desert.  I can never get enough of these desert giants.

Arizona and Colorado

Arizona and Colorado go so well together.   You can’t beat March and April in Arizona not to mention spring training for the Rockies Baseball.  It is like Colorado summer weather 60’s in the morning climbing to 80’s in the afternoon.  What a great way to make your summer a little longer and beat the colder weather with beautiful scenery like this shot above.   I was down in Scottsdale  to celebrate my Mom’s 83rd birthday and it was a great week off the grid and very fun time with her.

The Praying Monk Lightning Strike

The Praying Monk  is a rock formation on the side of the famous Camelback mountain that sits in between Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona.  From the first time I saw this I was always fascinated with it and thought It would make a great spiritual shot with lightning striking. This is a shot that I worked on for three years to get. This is the real deal.  I can not tell you how many times I went to my spot on the top side of this mountain and got nothing.
