Colorado Burning Sky
Wildfires in the Colorado Air make for a great interesting sunset. I remember when Mount St Helen exploded a week later was one of the best sunsets I have ever seen. Here is a lake view of the Colorado front range with the twin peaks towering above it all. A great ball of fire sunset that got everyone’s attention.

Face Cloud
Colorado thunderstorms pick up in the late afternoon almost everyday during summer monsoon season late July and August. A Big isolated giant thunderhead that boiled up and sunset and moved pretty quick.
This was one of those such clouds you could see a lot of action going on very fast as it grew in size and headed out to the Colorado eastern plains. This would be a great print to mount on the ceiling in a room.
I did not realize there was a face in this cloud until someone pointed it out. Can you see it?
Cool Colorado Acrylic Nature Art

The image is the art – it doesn’t get any cleaner than that!
All acrylic prints ship within 3 – 4 business days and arrive “ready to hang” with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).
The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of the image to produce stunning results.
There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.
Option #1 (Mounting Posts) – Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts. The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall. When you’re finished, simply reattached each cap, and you’re done. The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1″. All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.
Option #2 (Hanging Wire) – With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4″ thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. There are no metal mounting posts at the corners. Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you’re done. Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50″

Milky Way Above The Colorado Rocky Mountains
Here is a scenic astrophotography image view in the middle of the night starry sky view of the Milky Way above the Colorado Indian Peaks, Arikaree Peak 13159 ft., Navajo Peak 13,409 feet, Apache Peak 13,441 feet, Shoshoni Peak 12,967 feet and Pawnee Peak 12,943 feet.
This is in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, Roosevelt National Forest, Boulder County, Colorado. Longs lake is at the bottom of the image.

Colorado Rocky Mountain Autumn Beauty
Autumn, the time of year that mother nature shows her colors, a beautiful scenic landscape view of the snow-capped Colorado Rocky Mountains in full autumn golden colorful fall foliage. Rocky Mountains Independence Pass autumn scenic landscape early October view. Independence Pass is a high mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado in the United States. It is at elevation 12,095 ft (3,687 m) on the Continental Divide in the Sawatch Range. The pass is midway between Aspen and Twin Lakes, on the border between Pitkin and Lake counties.
Because of the heavy snowfall at its elevation, it is closed in wintertime, isolating Aspen from direct access from the east during the ski season.

Just Another Colorado Rainbow
While out catching lightning and what appears in the sky… just another beautiful Colorado country rainbow. Thunderstorms and sunshine. Rainbows are created by both reflection and refraction (bending) of light in water droplets in the atmosphere, which results in a spectrum of light appearing. No two people see the same rainbow, in fact even our individual eyes see slightly different rainbows. If someone appears to be standing under a rainbow you can see, they will see a different rainbow at the same angle but further away.
Sunlight is really made up of the colors of the rainbow. When those colors are all mixed together it is called white light. White light is the light we see everyday. Each raindrop makes its own rainbow but it takes millions of raindrops for us to see a rainbow.
Looks to me like they are hiding the gold in the red barn. What do you think?

As luck would have it, we live in the age of digital technology where “visiting” the Rocky Mountains or the Black Canyon is at the touch of a button. Better yet, we have the ability to search for amazing photographs and fine art of Colorado’s incredible landscape.
What do Bo Insogna, John Fielder and Doug Tomlinson have in common ? They produce some of the finest photography and fine art from Colorado; and as a eco-conservationist (who loves art) I was overwhelmed as I perused images that seemed to have an almost “God-like” touch.
I was a young boy the first time I heard the word “art collector” and I gathered from the hushed tones that being one meant you had serious green at your beck and call. Whether you are a nature lover or not, there is NO way you won’t appreciate these scenes. They light up an ordinary setting, adding richness and vitality to an otherwise boring office or boardroom environment.
Many of us may be firmly rooted in the suburbs and high-rise apartments where the only spot of nature might be the odd bunch of trees decorating a sidewalk. Sadly, this is a reality, our constant need to encroach on mother nature and her gifts. These artists and their life’s work should serve as a reminder of all that is good, pure and wholesome. These landscapes, these treasures, wait for us to look upon them anew and appreciate them for what they truly are:
