Rabbit Mountain Lightning Strikes Boulder County Co

Scenic view from the north end of Boulder County at 75th Street, north of 66 looking west toward the rabbit mountain area and the foothills around Lyons getting pounded, Woodland Road with car tail light trail on the right. Lightning strikes were hitting hard C2C and C2G. Nature putting on a great light show this night. The storm was up and down the front range foothills as well as hitting in the east.

Longmont Colorado, five miles from the Rocky Mountains foothills and ten miles Northeast of Boulder Colorado, a scenic country landscape view of lightning striking in the sky above the Lohr-McIntosh Farm and Agricultural Heritage Center looking towards Boulder SW.

Rabbit Mountain Lightning Thunderstorm Weather Photography

Scenic view from the north end of Boulder County from 75 th street north of 66 looking west toward the rabbit mountain area and the foothills around Lyons. Lightning strikes were hitting hard C2C and C2G. Nature putting on a great light show this night. The storm was up and down the front range ins foothills as well as hitting in the east. Started off with some big size hail and east and out of the area around 10:30PM. This is three 30 sec exposures stacked. F8 – ISO 400 – 18mm.

Colorado Lightning Thunderstorm

Colorado Lightning Thunderstorm. This storm came in from the south, I was in North Boulder County and saw it hitting over boulder and the Flatirons. There were four award winning shots that I took with my eyes but could not get a good location to get that shot in time. It was hitting about every ten to 15 minutes and lightning bolts hit over Boulder about 8 -10 times, good cloud to cloud and to ground strikes. This is a shot above the Boulder City Lights. My the time I got here it started to die and go north.
