Mighty Colorado Thunderhead
This mighty thunderhead caught my attention as it lit up when the sun start to set. Colorado thunderstorms pick up in the late afternoon almost everyday during summer monsoon season late July and August. A Big isolated giant thunderhead that boiled up at sunset and moved pretty quick. This was one of those such clouds you could see a lot of action going on very fast as it grew in size and headed out to the Colorado eastern plains. A time lapse short. Sunset Lake Storm Front Panorama View
Hanging out lakeside with a camp fire and watching a a fantastic lightning show all across the eastern horizon. A very bright almost full moon above with an isolated thunderstorm cell all lit up with lightning striking. This is a view from Jackson Lake in Morgan County Colorado looking East. These storms went around us giving us a great side view and show as they went out in the NE direction right past our location. Lightning kicked up right after sunset.

Lightning At Sunset With Star Trails Above
Fantastic lightning show all across the eastern horizon. This is a view from Jackson Lake in Morgan County Colorado looking East. These thunderstorm cells went around us giving us a great side view and show as they went out in the NE direction right past our location. Lightning kicked up right after sunset and went on into the night. There was a day a way full moon to the right out of frame and stars shinning bright above. This is a stack image to get the star trails equal to almost a 3 minute exposure.

Lightning Striking Thunderstorm Cell And Full Moon
Isolated thunderstorm cell with cloud to ground lightning striking and a full moon above. This is a view from Jackson Lake state park in Morgan County Colorado looking due east. There were two different thunderstorm cell that went around us. Then after the sun went down we got a good show.

Dirt Road Cloud Cruising
A portrait scenic view while driving and traveling down this dirt road in the magic hour, it was like the clouds met the road at sunset. This really caught my attention how the clouds outlined these large cottonwood trees.

Sky Driving
Nothing like taking a dirt road and driving into the clouds at sunset and doing a little sky driving. These are really cool Colorado county roads always good for cruising. Love the trees, the leaves are just starting to bud.. Caught this while out looking for and watching the storms build up. Such beautiful time of year, almost to storm season here on the front range.
