South St Vrain Canyon Boulder County Colorado

A nature landscape view looking up south St Vrain Creek  and the south St Vrain Canyon west of Lyons Colorado, this is highway 7, it goes up past Raymond and Allenspark.  One of the most beautiful canyons in Boulder County.

It’s one of my most favorites because it is the closest canyon to me and goes right past Longs Peak, Chapel on the Rocks and drops into Estes Park and Rocky Mountains National Park.  If you are into fishing, the is a fly fisherman’s paradise.

The Poudre Canyon is a narrow verdant canyon, approximately 40 miles long, on the upper Cache la Poudre River called the “Poudre” for short, which locals pronounce as “Pooder” in Larimer County, Colorado in the United States. The canyon is a glacier-formed valley through the foothills of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains northwest of Fort Collins.
