Highway Storm

Lightning strikes following the diagonal highway  that connects Boulder and Longmont Colorado,  neon car light trails and lightning overhead.  Boulder County Colorado.  As always these storms pushed out NE.  Thirteen second exposure.

Dancing Thunderstorm Cell On The Horizon

 

Star trails and blue sky above this thunderstorm cell  lit up with lightning dancing on the horizon putting on a nice show. This is a three minute exposure done by stacking eight, thirty second  exposure images in a row and stacking them to keep the noise level very low.

Great Sand Dunes National Park April Views Video

Video panorama springtime April views at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in Colorado.  Park elevations range from 7,515 feet to 13,604 feet above sea level. In the summer, the sand surface can reach 150°F (66° C) in mid-day.
